The College of Chemistry at Jilin University is one of the leading chemistry education and research centers in China. Its precedent, the Department of Chemistry, was founded in 1952 as a result of the nation-wide college and department adjustment. Now, the College of Chemistry is comprised of 6 departments, including Inorganic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry and Physics, and Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry, and 4 research institutes, including State Key Laboratory of Inorganic Synthesis and Preparative Chemistry, State Key Laboratory of Supramolecular Structure and Materials, International Joint Research Laboratory of Nano-Micro Architecture Chemistry, and National and Local Joint Engineering Laboratory for Synthesis Technology of High Performance Polymer.
